Patty Springs / Campbell Cemetery
Read the story of how the lost cemetery was found

The cemetery is overgrown with trees and brush, and an estimated 30 or so graves are identified with only handmade, unmarked fieldstones along with many, many irises, jonquils, and peonies painstakingly planted decades ago in loving memory of those long gone.

To get to the cemetery, [See Deed] turn on the Alpena-Denver Road (CR 811) off highway 62 between Green Forest and Alpena. Take the first left (CR 815), go about a half mile and again take the frist left (still CR 815). Continue about 2 tenths of a mile till you come to a metal farm gate on the left. There is a pond a few yards from this gate. The cemetery is at the top of the knoll along the fence line directly above this pond, to your right as you reach the pond with your back to the gate. The cemetery is on private property, so one would need to get permission to visit the cemetery.   Send all corrections to Keeper of the Keys.
