The Beginning of the Jones-Minick
Cemetery: as told by Mr. Rayburn Jones
In 1862, his Jones ancestors were
living in the general area. Anjaline Jones died at the age of 14
years and 11 months. The family was traveling either to Hale Cemetery
or Jones Cemetery (near Urbanette) when they were warned not to go over
that way because the Bushwhackers were there. So, the family stopped
and buried Anjaline right there.
